The original Apple TV came with a somewhat undersized 40GB hard drive to sync your iTunes content to, which might be big enough for some ...

HOWEVER, if like us, you have a LOT of movies, music and photos then the built in hard drive of the original Apple TV simply doesn't cut the mustard.

Hard Drive Upgrades to the Apple TV !!

To order an upgrade all you need to do is contact us to discuss the upgrade but essentially ....

You send us your Apple TV for upgrading
We install for you - your own drive or a brand new drive
We format the new drive to run as an Apple TV as before
We return your upgraded Apple TV and original hard drive, normally within 48 hours.

What's the cost ?

£90 - for a brand new 160GB drive
£120 - for a brand new 250GB drive

We can fit 80GB or 120GB drives as well, at a slightly reduced price, but our experience is most customers want the largest drive they can get !

Installation of the replacement drive in your Apple TV
Return shipping of your Apple TV together with the original drive

Common Questions and Answers ...

Q - What do I need to ship to you ?
A - Just the aTV unit, we don't need anything else, the Apple box is great for shipping though !

Q - Do we have to send the Apple TV to you ? Can't we install the drive ourselves ?
A - Preupgraded drives will be available after Easter

Q - Do you install any other hacks or changes during the upgrade ?
A - Not at the present time.

Q - Do you move our aTV content from the old drive to the new one ?
A - No.

Q - What warranty implications are there ?
A - This Upgrade will probably invalidate your Apple warranty. The replacement drive is covered by the manufacturers warranty

Q - How much space do I end up with ?
A - As with the original Apple drive, some space is lost on the drive, it varies, but about 10-15%.
